Free And Inexpensive Web Hosting

Free And Inexpensive Web Hosting

Are free and inexpensive web hosting worth it? Yes and no. The answer really depends on what type of website you plot to make available to your internet crowd. Most web hosting sites offer entry level hosting packages that offer just the basic hosting services and they can do well for just about any personal or corporate websites with low density traffic. That means few site visits. Some offer these basic services free of charge and the web host bureaus earn by putting ads on your website everytime they are accessed.

For World Wide Web neophytes just testing their freshly made HTML pages, a free hosting bureau is the best thing that can happen. Forget about those ads. While they can annoy your visitor, free web hosts allow you to have a presence on the internet and make yourself known to millions of internet users around the world. Some of the many commercial sites out there started with them, upgrading to better web hosts bureaus or their packages as traffic increases and as their web sites grow in storage requirements.

There is small or no technical customer support on these sites. Those that do, often provide rudimentary technical and after sales services that are often hard to access when you need them. But that is expected. After all, you do have to thank them for hosting your site and making it available to the world. But it is a tribute to these free web hosting providers that there are brilliant hosts that provide remarkable decent services – even better than most entry level paid hosts. You just have to look for reviews on the net for such companies.

Your next step after that is to scout for some cheap web hosting services. Again, don’t expect a lot. As in anything else, you get what you pay for. But just like free web hosts, there are gems worth considering. For as small .99 per month, some web hosting companies do require a 6-12 month advance payment. That allows them to earn interests on your upfront money to offer such cheap dues. Most offer free domain name registration which really isn’t much considering that domain name registration is really cheap these days. In general, they have larger disk space allocations and bandwidths than on your free web hosting options. Customer support is often shared across other higher account holders and should be at par with them. Most web hosting providers do offer budget hosting packages and are worth considering especially if they are well-reviewed as providing brilliant service and you are just a novice in World Wide Web.

Bottomline is, don’t expect a lot from these free web hosting services. Websites that required large storage spaces for downloadable multimedia files are better off using higher hosting packages that can cost upwards of around or more per month. And as your website traffic grows, you will certainly need the bandwidth to support your growing clientele who will just be turned off if the site or downloads are painfully slow to load. Choosing your web hosting partner can be a learning experience as you grow your website. You just have to be acutely aware when you have outgrown your current free or inexpensive web hosting provider.

Transfer Huge Files Online Fast and Free

Transfer Huge Files Online Quick and Free

If this problem hasn’t hit you yet… it will.

With the ever-increasing popularity of sharing home-videos, mp3 audios, and other large files online, really transferring those files to your customers, friends, and family presents a problem.

Most email systems limit the size of the files you can send, and often completely restrict some file types, such as .exe, from passing through their email servers.

Most computer geeks say, “Just ftp it to your server and I’ll download it from the Web.”

Unfortunately, that solution often proves too much of a hassle, and really rates impossible for those without ftp access to a website and the knowledge to use it.

To solve this problem, a new breed of website file transfer service has emerged to help the technically or time- challenged masses share their huge files online.

I learned this website as most people learn new sites, I saw someone else using it.

A friend wanted to send me a 10MB “zip” files while he traveled from San Francisco to Boise.

He couldn’t use his ftp program to upload it to the Web, and his ISP wouldn’t let him send such a huge file.

So, he logged on to www.yousendit.com and completed a 4-step process.

(1) He entered my email address, (2) chose the file he wanted to send by browsing his hard drive, (3) entered his email and typed in a brief message, and (4) clicked the “send” button.

The service uploaded the file to the web and sent me an email message with a link to download the file from their website.

After I downloaded the file, I clicked a link to delete the file from their server.

If I didn’t bother to click that link, the server would automatically delete the file after 7 days.

A few things make this service unique.

First, it allows you to send files without forcing you to register as a user; it’s really anonymous.

Second, it allows you to send up to a 1 gigabyte file.

This enables you to send virtually anything you can reckon of to anyone with an email address and Internet connection.

The site appears to make its money from advertising revenue generated by popup ads and Google AdSense (where they earn a commission every time someone clicks a link).

Third, like Hotmail.com did when first starting out, YouSendIt.com encourages message recipients to turn around and use the service to send files to their friends.

This “viral marketing” effect should help them spread the word quickly without a huge marketing budget.

DropLoad.com also enables users to send large files, though they restrict file sizes to 100 MB.

But, DropLoad.com offers one extra feature lacking in YouSendIt: delivery confirmation.

Dropload enables you to know when the person you sent the file to really clicks the link to download the file.

This cuts down on the “I never got the file” claims and acts like the Post Office making them sign for registered mail.

You can’t prove they read it, but you can prove they received it.

DropLoad.com does require you to register for a username and password, but the service is free.

Overall, both services do an brilliant job of solving a growing problem for a huge audience worldwide.

Also, if you sell information products customers download from the Internet, the link expiration and confirmation features can come in handy (such as giving out free samples or preview copies to potential joint venture partners).

Difference Between Free Web Hosting & Paid Hosting

Difference Between Free Web Hosting & Paid Hosting

There are advantages and disadvantages for both paid and free web hosting. But it really depends on what ones requirements are and what one is trying to achieve.

Advantages of Free Web Hosting

- As it is free it is the one of the most obvious advantage.

- Free web space can be used to practice programming. Some free web hosting plans support a programming language such as PHP, ASP, CGI/Perl, Cold fusion or JSP but several do not support all the languages.

- For making a small personal website free web hosting plot is fantastic.

Disadvantages of Free Web Hosting

- The majority of free web hosts cannot afford to offer 24/7 or any support as they are offering free hosting.

- Many free web hosts do not allow FTP access, which is an obstacle if one has many files to upload this one of the major flaws with free web hosts.

- Many free web hosts place their banner and text ads on the website.

- Very few free web hosts with their plans offer control panel.

- Ones website is placed in a sub-domain or a folder with a large number of free hosts, which results in poor search engine rankings most of the time.

- Much disk space or data transfer is not offered by free web hosting plans. This can be a problem if one have a lot of large files or if ones website generates a lot of traffic.

Advantages of Paid Web Hosting

- Most paid web hosts offer 24/7 supports.

- One will not have any unwanted text or banner ads placed on ones website with paid hosting.

- Control panel such as cPanel, Vdeck, Plesk or Ensim which offer features like web stats, the ability to password protect directories, and the ability to make web based email accounts are being offered by a lot of paid web hosting plans.

- One will have ones own domain name (consumerswebsite.com) which will not only result in better search engine rankings, but will also look more professional. Thus ones website will not be placed in a sub-domain or folder.

- As with paid web hosting one gets more disk space and data transfer, one can add more files to ones website and it can also handle more traffic.

- Most paid web hosts are offering FTP access.

- Couple programming languages such as PHP, ASP, CGI/Perl, the majority of paid web hosting plans is supporting Cold fusion and JSP.

Disadvantage of Paid Web Hosting

- It’s not free this is the only major disadvantage of paid web hosting.

Webhosting can take a lot of your attention unless your webhost gives you excellent uptime and prompt support. Hostgator is one of the best web hosts in the hosting coupons lists where you can host your website and blogs and also get upto 20% discount

Using free data recovery software

Using free data recovery software

Try free software before paying hundreds. We test some of the best free data recovery tools available on the internet.

As a rule if your partition has become corrupt we advise you to be extra cautious. Partition that becomes corrupt is an early sign that the drive has developed terrible sectors. Many people don’t realise how common terrible sectors are, they develop all the time but the hard drive marks them and stops using that sector. 95% of these terrible sectors do not hold vital data, but when they do it can cause the partition to be corrupt.

For Windows the drive might question you if you want to format the partition, or that you might not be able to double click the drive.

For MAC the drive might show up as empty or not show up on the desktop. If it is the drive that holds system files you might be shown a folder with a question mark on startup.
In these cases you want to handle the drive with care and not to place it under unnecessary stress. Without using professional tools your aim is to get the data off as quick as possible. If you can access a file or folder by copying and pasting or via software do it with minimum browsing, if the
system hangs in anyway stop the process immediately.

1. Do not run disk repair utilities
Windows-check diskOSX-disk utilitiesThese tools might be excellent for repairing the partition to a functional state by deleting problem files. But can ruin your chances of recovering you data.

2. Do not save the software or recoverable files onto the disk you are recovering from

3. Do not perform a excessive scans on the drive.
You might need to quick scan a partition with data recovery software to access corrupt partitions. But, if the process hangs or is extremely slow stop immediately. These problems can be easily overcome with professional software but continuing with limited software can complicate your chances drastically.

Data Carving
– this type of recovery is usually the last resort to salvage anything useful off the drive. This is where the drive is scanned for files types.
Files saved on a disk have headers and footers telling the operating system where files start and end and also what type of files they are. You can scan a drive for files in this way; but this method does not retain the filenames or any type of folder structure. This is why some refer to this method as data carving; the files are effectively carved out from the drive.

PC Inspector File Recovery- Is one of the most impressive free software we have found it lets you access corrupt partitions, scan for deleted data and data carving recoveries!! for free!!
But, commercial software is alot more powerful and more likely to find your data quickly. You should test a few different softwares to make sure you get the best results possible recovering your data.

Drug Free Sleep Aids To Improve Your Life

Drug Free Sleep Aids To Improve Your Life

In recent years the American Drug companies have opened a floodgate of drugs onto the American people. Often times the drugs are designed to treat minor irritations, or as more often is the case, disorders that simply did not exist fifteen years ago. And its not that we’ve recently learned many of these disorders, its that many of these disorders were invented as a marketing campaign for a nearly useless chemical compound that a drug company has found a use for. Which is not to say that all drugs fall under this terrible category. Plenty of conditions out there warrant the use of drugs, and without these drugs many people would suffer far more than they have to now. The problem lies within the fact that drug companies are now chemically treating lifestyle symptoms, and not just medical conditions.

There are several lifestyle conditions out there that are easily treatable without the use of drugs, and thus, without having the horrible side effects that taking these drugs come with. Medicines for certain types of high blood pressure are treated with drugs that come with risks of death, when all these people really need is just to take it simple, change their diet and learn to breathe properly. Obesity is being treated chemically more and more often, when really proper diet and exercise is the key. It is out of laziness that many people take medical options, such as drugs and liposuction, over a jog, and salad. Sleep aids are handed out to people who are already suffering from compound drug and physical addictions, in order to make them fall asleep. But these sleep aids are often just as addictive (if not more so) than the caffeine, sugar, and television that they’re already addicted to.

Sleep aid drugs do not really promote healthy, natural sleep. They are sedatives; they sedate you. Sedation and sleep are not the same things, though they do appear the same. But you have to question yourself, “does my body go through the proper REM cycles under sedation that it does with healthy natural sleep?” “Am I really rested when I’m using sedatives instead of sleep?” Just because a chemical tranquilizer knocks you out for eight hours does not mean that your body is going through its sleep cycles for eight hours.

Certain things happen to your body when you sleep. One of sleeps functions is to, in essence, check all of your systems and make sure they’re working properly, rejuvenate the ones that may be lacking in some way, and basically run your brain through a sort of re-boot and systems check process. But, sedatives sedate your whole body, not just the part that’s keeping you awake. There are healthy, natural ways to enhance your sleep cycles, without the use of drugs. These are lifestyle changes that will really improve more than just your sleep!

Caffeine is a highly addictive drug, more so than most illegal narcotics, but because it doesn’t have any mind-expanding properties, and because it is so widely capitalized on by major US companies the FDA will not ban its use. Remember, caffeine was originally used as a substitute for cocaine when it’s use was banned by the FDA because of its mind-altering properties. Caffeine is equally addictive and chances are, if you’re having problems sleeping, you probably have an addiction to caffeine. This is a excellent place to start. It is a tough drug to beat, but it can be done. Getting yourself off of caffeine will drastically improve your sleep, and will also (because of better sleep) improve your wakefulness in the morning as well.

Another issue with healthy natural sleep is modern distractions; lights, television, music, or video games. When you sleep you should try to make the room you are in as dark as possible. This means no television or games in the bedroom. Sure they’re fantastic, but they’re also keeping you up! The darker the room, the more naturally you will sleep, and the fewer the distractions the more restful you will remain. Music can be excellent if it remains consistent, but often times music contains lyrics, drastic changes, crescendos and other anomalies that disrupt sleep. If you feel you need some sound in the room, often to block out sounds of traffic, try a white noise machine. Or, if you’re really adventurous get a CD of nature sounds that will loop continuously for hours. These are fantastic because, not only can they help block out disrupting traffic sounds, they also simulate realistic sounds of nature that have been shown to be soothing, and rejuvenating to the listener, and they make fantastic sleep aids that will deeply impact your dreams, thus invigorating your REM cycles. Nature sound CDs can also be used for meditation or for making a peaceful ambiance to your house or office during the day as well.

Another lifestyle change that can help improve your sleep is diet change. Yes, I know; everything these days wants you to change your diet and exercise habits. There is a reason for that. By improving your diet and increasing the amount of physical activity that you get every day you will sleep better! And it will decrease your weight as advertised! Plus, improving your diet and exercise can help lower your blood pressure, as will learning excellent breathing techniques. The reason there is so much emphasis placed on diet and exercise is because it works, because that’s what our bodies have evolved to do! That is how we are meant to function, and when we neglect those things, health and sleeping problems will occur!

Get rid of McDonalds, get rid of Burger King, they have small nutritional value and are doing nothing to improve your life! Start eating high quality foods. It’s not expensive. Based on your digestive system, and on the design of your teeth, your body is built to have a roughly 30% meat diet. A soy and horse by-product burger from McDonalds is poor substitute for what your digestive system is really craving. Start preparing foods at home. It is cheaper to buy groceries for a week than eat out every night, and the foods you eat will be higher in quality as a result.

All of these things, if applied, will greatly increase the quality of your sleep, and as a result will increase the quality of your life. Terrible habits are hard to break, but excellent habits will make it worth the effort! Eat better, exercise better, sleep better, and live better! You won’t regret the changes you make!
